Next Wave Learning is pleased to offer offline access to our training courses—ideal for cruise ship workers and others with limited or intermittent internet connectivity.

To get started, please follow these steps:

  1. Purchase the Course Online
    Begin by purchasing your desired course and creating an account while you have internet access.

  2. Download the Moodle App
    Once your account is set up, visit your device’s app store and download the Moodle app. Log into your account through the app to download the course directly to your smartphone, iPad, or tablet.

  3. Access Your Course Offline
    After downloading, you can access the course at any time—even without an internet connection—by logging into your account on the Moodle app.

While learning offline, your progress will be saved on your device and will automatically sync the next time you reconnect to the internet. The course is completed in two parts: the learning modules and the certificate issuance. The learning portion will not be marked as complete, and your certificate will not be available, until your progress has been successfully synced online.

If you experience any issues accessing or loading your course, try the following:

  • Clear the Moodle app’s cache/data through your device settings, then log in again
  • Ensure your device is updated to the latest software version
  • Restart your device and try accessing the course again
